This week’s “It Girl” is a famous face with an affinity for 4th of July fashion. Katy Perry does patriotism with panache, donning those stars and stripes in more creative (and sparkly!) ways than we can count. Who knew that grand ol’ flag print could look so fresh!

The Name Game: Katy was born “Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson” but adopted her mother’s maiden name to become the “Katy Perry” that we all know and love.
“One of the Boys”: The title for her first mainstream studio album also describes Katy’s role as Smurfette in 2011′s “The Smurfs“: the lone lady smurf in all of Smurf Village.
Queen of Pop: Ms. Perry is the first female recording artist to spawn five number-one hits from the same album (Teenage Dream).
